I've been reflecting on something lately: if we consider everything that represents us—our bodies, minds, and souls—along with every thought, both conscious and subconscious, and all the physical processes and environmental factors, it’s as if they all come together as countless vectors, pushing us into the mental state we're in. Just as the flow of water is shaped by its smallest, indivisible parts, we too are moved by currents both visible and unseen. Ultimately, these forces determine where we go and what we do in life.Their influence helps sculpt the landscape of our minds into places of beauty or misery. Inside, we are seated in the wheelhouse of our mind, acting as the captain. As the captain, we are responsible for keeping the vessel safe while charting the direction of our lives. But just as a ship may find itself at the mercy of a raging storm, we too often find ourselves swept up in the maelstrom of unseen forces. Sometimes, it feels like we're stuck in a seemingly hopeless situation, in gridlock with the universe itself. As we float on the ocean of life, we do our best to keep a tight ship while observing the beautiful phenomena around us. We hear the gentle articulation of water as it flows around the boat, and we see birds soaring overhead. The scent of the salty breeze fills our souls, and the sun warms our skin—these are the intricate beauties of life, revealing themselves as reminders that we're part of something whole and magnificent. However, it’s easy to be swayed toward the negative side of things on this journey—to notice the forces pushing us toward the rocks, toward ruin. Why must the universe oppose us in such a frightful way? But in reality, there are infinite things to be grateful for—an endless universe of beauty, passion, growth, and life in which we should revel. The infinity of all things abounds before our eyes. If we search with an open mind for goodness, infinity will provide. Our conscious mind is like a lighthouse in the night, illuminating the dark landscape of the unknown and serving as a navigational marker. We need to stay the course when things get rough, and as we set out on our next adventure, we must keep the ship of our mind in tip-top shape.
